Chipper Days - Special Notice

Special notice to the Loon Lake community: The Stevens County Solid Waste Department's semi-annual Chipper Day program is changing. The new format will be Chipper Month 2026. Acceptable materials may be delivered to the South County Transfer Station at 3724 Grouse Creek Road, Loon Lake, WA 99148.

 

The transfer station will be open Wednesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. during September. Materials will no longer be accepted at the former Chipper Day site. 

 

Please read the flyer carefully, as load requirements have changed. Review the unacceptable materials list. The transfer station will accept all organic materials, but mixed loads will be charged at the $98/ton rate.
