Due to COVID-19,
Loon Lake/Deer Lake Spring Chipper Day
will be postponed to a later date.
Loon Lake/Deer Lake Chipper Day, normally scheduled for late May 2020, will be postponed to a later date, yet to be determined. Due to the COVID-19 situation, the Stevens County Solid Waste manager is unable to open the site or provide equipment and employees for the Chipper Day event. It is our hope to provide this popular community service sometime later during the summer months.
Loon Lake / Deer Lake Chipper Day Committee chairs Lee Evans (Loon Lake) and Skip Wells (Deer Lake) will explore other dates after Washington State social distancing guidelines have been relaxed.
The schedule for future Chipper Day events will be publicized through our local media outlets:
Loon Lake Times: www.loonlaketimes.com
Loon Lake/Deer Lake Nextdoor
Deer Lake: www.dlpoa.com
Loon Lake: www.loonlakepoa.org
For current information in your area, please consult one of these websites or call your local committee chairperson or association president.
Practice social distancing, stay home as much as possible, and stay positive!
This program is offered by LLPOA, DLPOA, and Stevens County Waste Department
to eliminate burning, help the environment, and prevent lake contamination.
